THE BRIEF

Tamara Kesselman, LICSW, has been involved in social work her entire life. During COVID, after helping each of her family members along the path to where they needed to go, she turned to her own career with fresh eyes. Now 3 years into running her private psychotherapy practice, she decided it was time to stop sailing without a flag.

The new logo needed to eschew the corporate and cliche, and elicit feelings of personal warmth & safety. It needed to emanate compassion, but also ferocious strength and dependability.

THE SOLUTION

Nothing embodied this dichotomy more than the concept of the mama bear, an archetype Tamara strongly identified with. By combining the bear with another of our brand nouns, sunlight, I arrived at a unique logomark that feels both deeply personal and dependable.

The brand colors were chosen to highlight the emotional associations of the logomark, as well as stand out against the sea of blues and greens that typify her competitors.
